The PS4 Pro is out in November - we find the best deals and prices for Sony's 4K upgrade on the PS4
The PS4 Pro, Sony’s 4K upgrade on its PlayStation 4 console, was officially unveiled last week at an event in New York. It’ll be available from November 10th but you can pre-order now to avoid disappointment.
Despite the PS4 Pro’s reported drawbacks, there are a number of reasons to be excited about the PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro can natively render 4K visuals to TVs that support it. This means far more detail in your games than you’re used to unless you’ve been gaming on a high-end gaming PC. According to Tech Radar, the difference between native 4K and 1080p visuals upscaled to 4K, was ‘night and day’. The demo videos of Mass Effect: Andromeda, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone shown during last week’s announcement in 4K/HDR looked absolutely stunning.
It’s not just future games that’ll look good on the new console. Sony plans to upgrade a slew of current PS4 games for PS4 Pro. They showed off glimpses of the recently released Deus Ex sequel looking even prettier, inFamous: First Light, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and more. Sony wants to make sure its biggest titles are ready for this mid-generation jump.
Also if you’re interested in the PlayStation VR Headset you’ll be pleased to hear that the PS4 Pro will make it a ‘more powerful experience’ according to T3. It ‘will help PS VR support immersive worlds with firmer framerates and a graphical fidelity that doesn’t suffer from moving into the virtual reality space.’
